It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition, and it is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
What EarSteady does
EarSteady is designed to help you follow well-established head-and-body repositioning movements (such as the Epley and Semont maneuvers) more accurately at home by using your phone's motion sensors to estimate your position, and to provide general education about benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV).
What EarSteady does not do
- It does not diagnose BPPV or any other condition.
- It does not treat, cure, or prevent any condition.
- It cannot guarantee the affected ear or canal it suggests is correct.
- It is not a replacement for evaluation by a qualified clinician.
Seek professional care
Dizziness can have many causes, some serious. Stop and consult a doctor or seek urgent care if you experience any of the following: sudden or new severe headache, sudden hearing loss or ringing, double or blurred vision, slurred speech, weakness or numbness, chest pain, fainting, vertigo following a head injury, or symptoms that are severe, worsening, or do not fit the pattern of BPPV. Always consult a qualified professional before starting any new self-care routine, especially if you have neck or back problems, retinal detachment, or cardiovascular conditions.
Assumption of risk
Repositioning movements involve changing the position of your head and body and may briefly intensify dizziness or nausea. You use EarSteady at your own risk. By using EarSteady you acknowledge that you have read and understood this disclaimer.
